Plex

Watch Wirm's movies, TV shows, anime, and documentaries. Think of it like Netflix — but it's Wirm's own library, and it's free.

First — make a free Plex account

  1. Open the App Store on your iPhone or iPad (the blue icon with a white "A").
  2. Search for Plex, then tap Get. It's free.
  3. Open the Plex app and tap Sign Up.
  4. Type your email and pick a password. Remember this password — it's the same login you'll use for Seerr and Plexamp too.

On a computer instead? Open Safari, go to plex.tv, and sign up there — same steps.

Next — ask Wirm to add you

  1. Tell Wirm the email address you just used. Text him, call him — any way you like.
  2. He sends you an invite. It arrives as an email from Plex.
  3. Open that email and tap Accept.
  4. Open the Plex app. Wirm's movies and shows are now in the menu on the left side.

Now — watch something

  • iPhone or iPad: open the Plex app, tap a movie or show, tap Play. That's it.
  • TV: look for the Plex app on your TV or streaming stick (Apple TV, Roku, Fire TV) and sign in with the same email and password.
  • Computer: open Safari and go to app.plex.tv — or tap the big Plex button at the top of this page.
Can't find a movie or show? You can ask for it — see the Seerr guide. It gets added for you.

Guide: Add Wirm's libraries

Good news — there's nothing to install or download. Once you accept Wirm's invite (the steps above), his libraries show up in Plex by themselves. The one thing that matters: sign in with the same email address Wirm sent the invite to. Here's where to find the libraries on each device.

On a TV

  1. Open the Plex app on your TV.
  2. Make sure you're signed in with the email Wirm invited.
  3. Look at the menu on the left side of the screen. Wirm's libraries — Movies, TV Shows, Anime, Documentaries — should already be listed there.
  4. Don't see them? Move down the left menu and pick More. Every library is in that list, including Wirm's.
  5. Pick any library to browse it, then press Play on something.

In a web browser (computer)

  1. Go to app.plex.tv and sign in with the email Wirm invited.
  2. Wirm's libraries are in the menu on the left side.
  3. If one is missing, click More near the bottom of that menu — it shows everything, and you can open any library from there.

On iPhone or iPad

  1. Open the Plex app and sign in with the email Wirm invited.
  2. Wirm's libraries appear on the home screen and in the app's menu.
  3. If you can't find one, look for More in the menu — all the libraries live there. (Phone apps rearrange their buttons now and then; More is the spot to remember.)

Guide: Pin & organize your libraries

Pinning puts a library in the main menu so it's always one tap away — and you choose the order. The order of the menu is also the order of the rows on your home screen, so put your favorites on top. You set this up on each device separately; it only takes a minute.

On a TV

  1. In the left menu, go to More to see all the libraries.
  2. Use the remote to highlight a library, then open the ⋯ menu next to its name and choose Pin.
  3. To change the order: highlight a pinned library, open ⋯, and choose Reorder. Move it up or down with the remote, then press the select button when it looks right.
  4. Don't use a library? Open ⋯ and choose Unpin to keep your menu short. It's still under More whenever you want it.

In a web browser (computer)

  1. In the left menu, click More to see all the libraries.
  2. Move the mouse over a library, click the ⋯ that appears next to it, and choose Pin.
  3. To change the order: click Edit in the sidebar (or ⋯ → Reorder on a library) and drag the libraries up or down into your order.

On iPhone or iPad

  1. Open the app's menu and find the library list — under More if you don't see it right away.
  2. Use the ⋯ next to a library (or the Edit option) to Pin it, then move it up or down to set your order.
  3. Phone apps vary a little between versions — if your screen looks slightly different, look for Pin and Reorder. They're always in that ⋯ menu.

Plexamp

The music player for Wirm's music library. Think of it like Apple Music — but everything in it is Wirm's collection.

Get set up — it takes two minutes

  1. Open the App Store on your iPhone or iPad.
  2. Search for Plexamp, then tap Get. It's free. (The big button at the top of this page takes you straight there.)
  3. Open Plexamp.
  4. Sign in with the same email and password as Plex. No Plex account yet? Do the Plex guide first — it takes two minutes.
  5. Wirm's music appears. Tap any artist or album, then tap Play.

Good to know

  • Plexamp is just for music. For movies and shows, use the regular Plex app.
  • On a Mac? Plexamp is in the Mac App Store too — same sign-in.

Guide: Get Wirm's music library in Plexamp

There's no separate invite for music — if you can see Wirm's stuff in Plex, his Music library works in Plexamp too. You just sign in.

On iPhone or iPad

  1. Open Plexamp and sign in with your Plex account — the same email and password as the Plex guide.
  2. Wirm's music shows up by itself — artists, albums, everything.
  3. If Plexamp asks you to pick a library: pick the one named Music. That's Wirm's. (You can switch later under Settings if you ever need to.)

On a computer

  1. Get Plexamp for your computer — on a Mac it's in the Mac App Store; on Windows, download it from Plex's website.
  2. Open it and sign in with the same Plex account.
  3. Same as the phone: Wirm's Music library is there, ready to play. Pick Music if it asks which library to use.
No TV app: Plexamp doesn't exist for TVs. On a TV, play Wirm's music in the regular Plex app instead — the Music library is in there too.

Favorites — keep your best stuff up front

  1. Find a song, album, or artist you love.
  2. Tap the heart on it.
  3. Your favorites collect right on Plexamp's home screen — always one tap away.

Playlists — make your own mixes

  1. On any song or album, tap the ⋯ menu.
  2. Choose Add to Playlist, then New Playlist and give it a name.
  3. Your playlists live on the home screen. Add to them anytime with the same ⋯ menu.

Downloads — listen with no internet

  1. Open an album or playlist you want to keep on your phone.
  2. Tap the download arrow. The music saves to your phone.
  3. Find saved music under Downloads. It plays with no internet at all — perfect for the car or a plane.

Seerr

The wish list. If a movie or show isn't in Plex yet, ask for it here — and it gets added for you.

Sign in

  1. Tap the big Seerr button at the top of this page.
  2. Tap Sign in with Plex.
  3. Type the email and password of your Plex account (the one from the Plex guide).
  4. First time only: tell Wirm you signed in. He has to tap OK on your account once before your requests work. After that, you never have to do this again.

Ask for a movie or show

  1. Type the name in the search box at the top.
  2. Tap the movie or show you want.
  3. Tap Request.
  4. Done! It gets added and shows up in Plex all by itself. No need to check back.

Report a problem

Something wrong with a movie or show that's already in Plex — it freezes, the sound is off, the subtitles are missing or wrong? Tell Wirm right from Seerr, like this:

  1. Open Seerr and find the movie or show with the problem (use the search box at the top).
  2. Open its page and tap Report Issue. (On some screens it's inside a ⋯ menu.)
  3. Pick what's wrong: video, audio (the sound), subtitles, or something else.
  4. Write a line about what happened. Say which device you were watching on (TV, iPhone, computer…) and roughly when it happened — that helps Wirm find it fast.
  5. Tap Send. Wirm sees it and fixes it. No need to follow up.
Not in Plex at all? That's not a problem report — just Request it, using the steps above. Reports are only for things that are already there but broken.

First — your account

You don't sign up for this one. Wirm makes your account for you and gives you a username and a password. One account per person — please don't share yours.

On the website

  1. Tap the big Nextcloud button at the top of this page.
  2. Type the username and password Wirm gave you, then tap Log in.
  3. Your files are right there. Tap one to look at it.
  4. Want to keep a file? Tap the three dots next to it, then Download.
  5. First time only — change your password: tap your initials in the top-right corner, then Settings, then Security, and type a new password that only you know.

On your iPhone or iPad

  1. Open the App Store, search for Nextcloud, and tap Get.
  2. Open the app and tap Log in.
  3. When it asks for an address, type: https://truenas.tail075fcc.ts.net:8443
  4. Type your username and password. Done — your files are in the app.

Join the server

  1. Tap the big Discord button at the top of this page. It's Wirm's invite.
  2. Already have Discord? Sign in, then tap Accept Invite. You're in.
  3. No account yet? Make a free one — pick a username, type your email, and choose a password. It takes about a minute.
  4. That's it — you're in the server. Say hi in the chat.

Get the app (best on a phone)

  1. Open the App Store, search for Discord, and tap Get. It's free.
  2. Open the app and sign in with the account you just made.
  3. Wirm's server is in the list on the left side. Tap it to open the chat.

Good to know

  • Turn notifications on so you don't miss announcements and movie nights: open the Discord app, tap Wirm's server, tap its name at the top, then Notification Settings, and allow notifications.
  • It's free. If Discord offers you something called Nitro, that's an optional extra — you don't need it for anything here. Just skip it.
  • On a computer instead? Open the invite link in your browser and chat right there — or download the Discord app for Mac or Windows from the same sign-in page.

Smart TV Hacks

How to put apps on your TV that aren't in the TV's app store. The trick is a free app called Downloader: once it's on your TV, you type a short code and it installs the app for you. Pick your TV below — the steps are different for each kind.

Android TV & Google TV

Sony, TCL, Hisense, Philips TVs, and boxes like the Nvidia Shield and the Walmart Onn box.

Part 1 — Turn on developer mode

  1. Open Settings (the gear in the top corner of the home screen).
  2. Go to Device Preferences, then About.
  3. Scroll down to Build and tap it 7 times. The TV will count you down, then say you're a developer. That's it — developer mode is on.

Part 2 — Install Downloader

  1. Open the Google Play Store on the TV.
  2. Search for Downloader by AFTVnews — the orange one. That's the real one.
  3. Tap Install. It's free.
  4. Open Downloader. If it asks for permission to access files, allow it.

Part 3 — Let Downloader install apps

  1. Go back to Settings → Apps → Special app access → Install unknown apps. (The exact words vary a little from TV to TV — look for "unknown apps.")
  2. Pick Downloader from the list and turn it on.
  3. Done. Now open Downloader, type any code from the codes list below, and tap Go.

Amazon Fire TV Stick

Fire TV Stick, Fire TV Cube, and TVs with Fire TV built in.

Part 1 — Show the developer options

  1. Go to Settings (the gear on the home screen), then My Fire TV, then About.
  2. Highlight the name of your Fire TV Stick and click it 7 times. A message counts you down, then tells you you're a developer.
  3. Press back once. There's now a Developer options item in the My Fire TV menu.

Part 2 — Turn on the two switches

  1. Open Developer options.
  2. Turn on ADB Debugging.
  3. Turn on Install Unknown Apps. If it shows you a list of apps instead of a simple switch, pick Downloader in that list and turn it on — if Downloader isn't installed yet, do Part 3 first and come back to this step.

Part 3 — Install Downloader and use a code

  1. From the home screen, go to Search (the magnifying glass) and type Downloader.
  2. Install the orange Downloader app by AFTVnews. It's free.
  3. Open Downloader, type a code from the codes list below, and tap Go.
  4. When the download finishes, tap Install, then Done. The app is now on your home screen under Your Apps.

Roku

Roku can't do this. Roku is locked down: there's no Downloader app for Roku, and no way to install outside apps the way Android TV and Fire Stick allow. Roku's developer mode exists, but it only lets programmers load a channel they built themselves — it can't install apps like the ones below. The easy fix: plug an inexpensive Fire TV Stick or Android TV box into your Roku TV and follow those guides instead — they'll do everything on this page.

Downloader codes

Open the Downloader app on your TV, type the code, and tap Go. It downloads and installs the app for you. More codes are coming — Wirm is adding to this list.

    This code installs the official version straight from the SmartTube project — the same code published by AFTVnews, the makers of Downloader.
